This time the superheroes must face two primary villains – Kraven the Hunter and Venom. There are also smaller stories at play, though, ones that may seem less important when compared to city-wide chaos, but feel like potential world-enders to those who inhabit it. It’s the best-written story in the series yet (if still a bit cheesy at times), with performances worthy of the script. It’s a real triumph that it manages to cover such a wide spectrum of themes without suffering from tonal thwip-lash.

Meanwhile, the 12-core Intel Core i K or AMD Ryzen X (or better) will be sufficient for the gaming CPU, with the RAM requirement still set at 16GB. With these specs, set your graphics preset to high, but set your ray tracing settings to very high.

After playing Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, fans began to worry about the future of Peter Parker, but the actor playing his role assures that the character will return in the next game. The game sold over 2.5 million units in 24 hours and over five million in 11 days, becoming PlayStation’s fastest selling first-party title. The first Spider-Man game from Insomniac received numerous DLCs post-launch. Multiple characters and stories within Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 likewise seemed to be setting up DLC, particularly the storyline involving Carnage. Because of this, many fans speculated over what would be in store for Peter Parker and Miles Morales when Spider-Man 2 DLC finally arrived.

The new parry mechanic is essential to dealing with some of the undodgeable strikes particular enemies use. You can still swing away to escape, but a well-timed parry not only stops the incoming attack but leaves an enemy vulnerable to further damage. PC enhancements to ray tracing improve reflections, interiors, shadows, and provide ambient occlusion options for an increased depth. According to a PlayStation Blog post, NVIDIA DLSS Ray Reconstruction brings “more detailed ray-traced reflections and better-defined ray-traced shadows” for visual improvements. Sony is removing the requirement for a PlayStation Network account on PC but encouraging players to sign up for one at the same time. In return, they will receive additional bonuses in the Japanese giant’s titles, such as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which releases today.

After watching the latest PlayStation Showcase conference, I have very mixed feelings. On the one hand, Sony showed some really exciting games; on the other, their release dates are either distant, or totally unspecified. There will be no shortage of games to play in January, but don’t count on any spectacular launches. Marvel’s Spider-Man – The Art of the Game is packed with hundreds of exclusive full-color images of Spider-Man, his suit and equipment, the allies he relies on like MJ Watson and Aunt May, and the deadly villains he battles. This wealth of material is accompanied by exclusive insight into the creative process from the talented developers, artists, and designers responsible for bringing Spider-Man’s world to vivid life.

The mid-credits scene reveals that Harry is to be released from his stasis pod, even though his health is still unstable. Peter puts Miles to the test, going off to Symkaria for a couple of weeks to help MJ with her work as a reporter there and leaving Miles in charge of protecting the city, leaving him as the sole Spider-Man in NYC for the first time. Miles reveals to Peter in the credits’ scene that he has gained spider-like powers after he was bitten by a spider that escaped Osborn’s personal lab. Additionally, we’re shown a teaser for the Symbiote in Osborn’s lab, where he has also kept Harry in a tank until he finds a cure for his illness.
